Luis’ father taught him at the age of 14 how to make sweaters and scarves by hand. He now runs a family business to support his 4 daughters. Even though he does some exporting to the United States, the market is inconsistent and causes worry to his family. He hopes to save enough money to be able to send his daughters to a university so they don’t have to do artisan work like him when they grow up.
What he sells:
Handwoven hats, scarves and sweaters
