Roberto has three daughters, ages 6, 4, and 1. He currently does not have a house but his family members let him take care of their property while they are living in Europe. His father taught him how to make chales (tribal scarves) at the age of 12. The money he makes selling handcrafted chales is his only source of income. He has been working alone trying to make a successful business for 2 years. There is not enough demand at the local market, however, for him to have a stand. He hopes to find a way to expand his business so he can build a home for his family and send his daughters to the university.
